Head coach: John DiPaola-Tromba (fourth year).

Last year’s record: 9-4.

Key departures: Gabriella Capossela (diver), Carly Cruff (distance swimmer), Kim Royer (diver), Alie Gratchev (sprint), Alison Mishou (backstroke).

Key returnees: Danielle Rocheleau (Jr.), Hannah Martin (Sr.), Dana Gionfriddo (Sr.), Olivia Karinian (Jr.), Veronika Latawiec (Sr.)

Outlook: Another strong season is expected out of the Newington Indians after a 9-4 mark from a season ago. With the return of three big seniors in Dana Gionfriddo, Hannah Martin and Veronika Latawiec, DiPaola-Tromba hopes to see some big performances going forward.

“I expect to see exceptional performances this season from the key returnees,” DiPaola-Tromba said. “I am hoping that at least three individuals perform very well at finals and make it to [the State Open}. As for the whole team, I am anticipating another strong season with the team record being better than last year.”
